It’s the most beautiful song I’ve ever heard. The first time I heard it was when I watched the documentary here in the US on one of the channels in October 2006. It broke my heart and brought non-stop tears to my eyes.
I wrote about it on my blog here: http://baghdadtreasure.blogspot.com/2006/10/oh-my-country.html

I have not seen the documentary, unfortunately. The song grabbed my soul since I first heard it.

Aziah,
Its good to know that there are Americans that feel the things that are really happening in Iraq, and have the will to change it.
Thank you.

Like many of you, I was gripped by the song used in the movie. I went online looking for other recordings by Kazem; none of them (at least none of the audio clips) had the simple power of “Good Morning”. All of them had huge orchestras and excessive production.
Are any of you aware of any Kazem recordings in this simple arrangement, with just one violin (or oud or qanun or whatever)? If so, can I purchase a download?
